Then went on to complete a master's degree in Film from American University in Washington, DC. He says, "Storytelling through visualization is what drives me."Īfter honorably serving our country in the United States Marine Corps, he completed an undergraduate degree in Television at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Harold soon realized he had a gift for writing. This is where his passion and interest for film was born. He grew up in Los Angeles in a large extended family of film consumers. Brave graduated from The University of Alabama with an MFA in scenic design, summa cum laude,and has a BA in theatre from The University of Maine, cum laude.Harold Jackson III is an EMMY Nominated Producer. Brave has designed scenery for various Maine television productions and currently has scenery used for broadcast for Greenlight Maine and The Nite Show with Danny Cashman.
At Husson, he has designed scenery and projection design since 2008 for productions in the Gracie Theater at Husson University. Brave has also designed sets for traditional theater venues like the Alabama Shakespeare Festival which is the world’s sixth-largest Shakespeare Festival. At Husson, Brave teaches courses related to computer-aided drafting, entertainment design, three-dimensional modeling, game engines, and extended reality design.
His work in media has taken him as far as Hanoi, Vietnam where he taught a week-long course in computer-aided drafting and advised on various entertainment design productions. He has presented hands-on seminars on extended reality over 50 times around New England and developed a paper presentation for Virtual Reality Toronto called Ancient VR, wisdom from 2,000 years of immersive theatre design.
Brave developed an innovative new bachelor's degree at Husson that prepares students for emerging careers in extended reality design and development. These experiences range from educational platforms to business applications and leverage spatial computing technology like virtual and augmented reality. Brave specializes in extended reality design and works to implement interactive and immersive environments into seamless experiences. He has taught at Husson since 2008 and holds the rank of associate professor. Brave Williams is the director of the iEX Center and the program coordinator for the extended reality (XR) program at Husson University.
